Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Preflight, including repository audits, live URL checks, reports, billing, and connected integrations.
Use of Preflight
- Preflight provides automated and AI-assisted launch security review tools for software projects, repositories, and verified live URLs.
- You must have permission to audit every repository, application, domain, and URL you submit.
- You may not use Preflight to attack, overload, scan, or test systems you do not own or have explicit authorization to assess.
Accounts and integrations
- You are responsible for maintaining access to your Google, GitHub, Stripe, and related accounts.
- GitHub access is controlled by the permissions you grant through the GitHub App or tokens you configure.
- You are responsible for removing integrations or revoking access when access is no longer needed.
Audits and reports
- Audit results are provided for launch-readiness and security review support. They are not a guarantee that an application is secure, compliant, or free from vulnerabilities.
- AI-generated reports may contain mistakes or omit context. You should verify important findings before making production decisions.
- Preflight may cache raw and AI-generated reports to preserve audit history, reduce repeated processing, and avoid unnecessary AI usage.
Live URL checks
- Live checks are allowed only for HTTPS websites where you can verify domain ownership.
- Private IP ranges, localhost, credentials in URLs, and custom ports may be blocked to reduce abuse and accidental internal scanning.
- You agree not to bypass safeguards or submit targets you are not authorized to test.
Billing and plan limits
- Paid plans, trials, discounts, audit limits, live audit limits, and renewal terms are shown during checkout or inside the product.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscription changes, cancellations, and failed payments may affect access to paid features.
- Enterprise or custom services may require a separate written agreement.
Acceptable use
- Do not upload malware, intentionally harmful code, stolen secrets, or data you are not allowed to process.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, resell, or abuse the service.
- We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, nonpayment, security risk, or violation of these terms.
Disclaimers and liability
- Preflight is provided as-is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted service, complete vulnerability coverage, or perfect report accuracy.
- To the maximum extent allowed by law, Preflight is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- These terms are not legal advice. If you need compliance or legal guidance, consult a qualified professional.
